This week on Foodie, we go slow and low with Iron Grate BBQ’s Chef Aaron Patin as he shares his barbecue views as well as where he gets his pork from Twist and Sprout Farms.


 

 

 

In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, we start the morning (early morning) with Chef Aaron Patin as his stokes the fire for what will eventually smoke the meats at Iron Grate BBQ in Milwaukee, WI. We follow Aaron through the day as he prepares for an afternoon of service. Aaron travels to Twist and Sprout Farm and meets with farmer Cam Pauli, to look over the Red Wattle hogs he will eventually be using at the restaurant. We then go behind-the-scenes at Iron Grate and watch Aaron’s process for preparing the meat before it gets smoked. Finally, we feast, on all available meat products.
