In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, we check out Organic Valley. Organic Valley is revolutionizing a new farming economy in Wisconsin, rewarding farmers for quality over quantity. We start by attending the Kickapoo Country Fair. Held at Organic Valley Headquarters, the Kickapoo Country Fair celebrates all the organic producers far and wide. We talk to Will Allen, the founder of Growing Power, Jim Wedeberg and George Sieman, two of the founding farmers of Organic Valley, and Andrew Zimmern of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.

After that, Kyle travels to a small dairy farm to meet the Gretebeck family in Chaseburg WI. The Gretebeck’s run All Seasons Farm, a small but special dairy farm producing some of the finest milk that goes to Organic Valley for grass-fed milk and butter.

We follow the family’s milk from their farm to a nearby butter plant and watch their grass fed milk become a butter. Kyle then returns to the farm the plant with some new butter to enjoy back on the farm, making the journey full circle.
